In 2012, St. Bernadus started a yearly tradition by presenting their ABT 12 in a unigue way. The screen printing on this product makes it a unique collectors item.
ST. BERNARDUS ABT 12 from Brouwerij St. Bernard is a traditional abbey ale brewed in the classic style of Belgium's Trappist Monks. It is almost ebony in colour, smooth, creamy and full bodied with big richness of texture that is almost oily and very assertive, like a warming coconut brandy. Full bodied and rich, dark chocolate-bitter, Dark Abbey beer.
St Bernardus has a history which is connected to two Trappist breweries, Mont Des Cats (Cheese) and the infamous Westvleteren (Beer). Shortly after the second world war the Trappist monastry St Sixtus in Westvleteren was looking to commercialise their beers, in step St Bernardus.
