Inspired by Flanders Reds of old, Crimson King represents our longest aged and most complicated releases to date. It combines four brews of different ages: one batch was aged for three months, another for four months with aged hops, another for nearly two years in tank and the final portion aged for one year in whisky casks. This blend was refermented and aged for an additional month on locally grown Scottish strawberries, cherries and blackcurrants (totalling 250g/l). Deep complexities abound in this aged beast.
