BAD FAME. The Basque brewery Meta Edabeak brews wonderful mixed-fermentation beers and very drinkable classic beers. Garage is known for its hoppy and hazy beers. When we were talking about a collaboration, the guys at Meta suggested that we combine classic and hazy. The result is something that could be described as West Coast Haze. An appearance that carries a moderate haze between the clear West Coast and the New England IPA. A malt blend designed to be round and smooth, but not thick. A clean and dry fermentation profile to maximize drinkability. Hop-saturated flavour and aroma. As people who like to enjoy a few pints at a time, we can certainly agree with this. Exclusively hoppy with our hot-selected Simcoe for a clean bitterness and beautiful undertones of grapefruit and pine, before adding a wad of dry Citra with a little more Simcoe for good measure. Juicy pink grapefruit, lime, soft mango and peach are the top notes, with a soft pine sap in the background. Just writing this makes me thirsty.
