Brugse Zot Dubbel is a medium bodied and well rounded, malty-caramel, dark speciality. Best served in a branded tulip-glass, with or without the sediment. Good with steak or stews.
Besides the golden was also a brown version of the city beer created: Brugse Zot double, with 7.5% alc Vol. It is brewed with 6 special malts, which give the beer a unique and rich flavour. We have chosen the world famous Czech Saaz hops from Zatec, which gives beer a unique bitter note. Brugse Zot double is definitely heavier and beer that appeals to lovers.
The Halve Maan is home to two fantastic beer brands – Bruges Zot and Straffe Hendrik. Bruges Zot, which is a reference to the nickname "Bruges fools" given to the townsfolk, produces one of Belgium's best loved golden ales and a fantastic raisin and plummy brun.
