Timmermans was born in 1702 under the name of "The Mole Brewery" It wasn't until the 20th Century that the brewery changed its name to Timmermans under the ownership of Paul Van Cutsem (6th Generation). It is now the oldest Lambic Brewery in Belgium and still actively brewing Spontaneous Fermentation beers with their Oude Gueze winning silver in the "sour beer" category at the WBA (World Beer Awards) in 2013.
