Brewed at the Bosteels brewery in Buggenhout, this iconic beer is best known for its unique glass, designed to sit in torch holders on coach and horses. But this beer is much more than a novelty glass – it’s deep amber colour and creamy, dense head yield a majestic Belgian beer. It has a caramel-like aroma with a spicy hop edge and hints of banana from the yeast. The sweet body gives way to a spicy and savoury finish that is pleasantly warming. A world-class beer.

Never DisappointsAlways been fond of the Kwak ever since a rather inebrious evening in Brussels. This is a strong, warming, malty beer that will leave you properly Donald Ducked if you are not careful. My friend suffered a serious Kwakattack and completely lost motor function.

Beer named after barman!This beer is brewed by Bosteels in East Flanders and is named after an innkeeper Pauwel who had the nickname 'kwak' which translates into English as 'effusive or extensive'. It is brewed from three malted grains as is Bosteels other beer Triple Karmeliet and is quite strong at 8.4%. There is no yeasty deposit in the bottle and it is an easy beer to quaff; on warm days chilled and on cold days at room temperature. An excellent beer. There is also a unique stemless glass which Pauwel Kwak could hand up to coachmen and horseriders. Modern pedestrians get the beer in the glass and the stemless glass in a wooden frame that will stand on a table.

KwakA very nice drink to savour lovely aroma of honey and bread and the strength of the alcohol is well hidden. Lots of wonderful flavours which got better the warmer the drink became and also no strong hop taste.
