More than any other, Hofbräu Original embodies Munich's character as a city of beer, spreading its fame throughout the world. Full-bodied with an alcoholic content of approximately 5.1% by volume, and offering a truly fine hops aroma, it is a superbly well-balanced lager.
Solid German Helles lager that goes well with some of the delicious varieties of German Sausage
Hofbräu München - The story of the HofBrau - Wilhelm V, the Duke of Bavaria (1579-1597), had a thirsty and demanding household. They were dissatisfied with the beer brewed in Munich, and so beer had to be imported from the town of Einbeck in Lower Saxony.
I like the German-style Helles lagers and this does not disappoint. It has a clear golden colour, with a good taste and nice aroma. I would certainly drink it again.
