Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor completes the taste of Carolus-beers. ìHopsinjoorî is a wordplay to for the several hops which are used, and the typical character of Mechelen of Gouden Carolus: the figure opsinjoor is intertwined with the history of Mechelen. The 4 types of hops used are : Golding, Spalt, Hallertau and Saaz. These hops are fractioned several times in the brewing process in order to keep a maximum of aroma.
