About this product
Chimay Triple, differentiated only by "Cinq Cents" on the 750 ml bottle, from the 33cl Triple. A golden colour, this Trappist beer combines sweet and bitter in a rare balance. The beer's aroma felt in the mouth comes from the hops' perfumes: above all, they are fruity touches of Muscat grapes and raisins, even ripe apples. This traditional Belgian beer is best savoured fresh at a temperature 6 to 8°C.

As one of the biggest Trappist breweries in the world, Chimay beers are now found all over the world despite still being brewed at the Scourmont Abbey under the supervision of the monks. They started brewing back in 1862, using water drawn from the Abbey well.

Scourmont TripelThis beer is one of the abbey of Notre Dame at Scourmont's Chimay beers. Still brewed by monks in the abbey brewery this beer is one of the five remaining Belgian Trappists. It pours a pale amber colour with a fine white head and there is some sediment present in every bottle so careful pouring is rewarded although if you drink the sediment it won't do you any harm. This beer is 8% - the 'red' is lighter at 7% and 'blue' is stronger at 9%. They are all worth a try but should be refrigerated before drinking for the best experience.
