Brugse Zot Dubbel is a medium bodied and well rounded, malty-caramel, dark speciality. Best served in a branded tulip-glass, with or without the sediment. Good with steak or stews.
This dark Belgian beer is the bigger brother of the world famous Brugse Zot Blonde. Made with the same yeast it has hints of banana and clove, but on top of that the roasted and caramel malts and flavours of raisins, dates and figs to make for a gorgeous dark, sticky dubbel-style beer with a surprisingly clean finish.
The Halve Maan is home to two fantastic beer brands – Bruges Zot and Straffe Hendrik. Bruges Zot, which is a reference to the nickname "Bruges fools" given to the townsfolk, produces one of Belgium's best loved golden ales and a fantastic raisin and plummy brun.
