Tilquin are one of the newest Gueuzeries to be added to Pajotennland. It was born in 2009, 12 years after the previous Gueuzerie De Cam was born. Director Pierre Tilquin studied an intestive course of brewing science in Leuven and then went onto master his trade at Huyghe, 3 Fonteinen and Cantillon (quite the cv im sure you will agree). Tilquin is a blender and not a producer, fresh wort is purchased from various producers, placed in oak casks and aged for various numbers of months/years. The Lambics are then blended to create the fantastic Tilquin beers.
