Schneider & Sohn

Until 1872, only the German monarchy were allowed to brew weiss bier and the rest of the nation's breweries has to stick to lagers. That changed when interest in the style dipped and sales declined. A disinterested King Ludwig sold the rights to brew it to Georg I Schneider, who promptly came up with the recipe for Schneiderweiss Tap 7, the original weiss bier which is still brewed today. The brewery now makes 10 different versions including a hoppy collaboration with Brooklyn Brewery (tap 5), a delicious warming doppelbock (tap 6) and tap X, an special that changes every year.
