Half Acre
A 13,000-square-foot building that was being used as a warehouse, office and makeshift dwelling became Half acre's Lincoln brewery in 2008. With equipment purchased secondhand and driven home from Colorado, they built one of the first production breweries Chicago had seen in a long time. These days Half Acre have two breweries on the north side of Chicago, brewing classic american micro styles, weighted barrel offerings, and wild beers that traverse the landscape of mixed fermentation.
