Founded as a weekend project by two friends, Nino Bacelle and Guido Devos, De Ranke is very unusual for a Belgian brewery because it produces hop-forward beers. In fact, it uses German Hallertau hops and Brewer's Gold hops to brew XX, the hoppiest beer in Belgium, and if that wasn't enough, they produce an annual beer called XXX, which is even more hoppy. They're exciting beers unlike any other made in Belgium.
