    Sour & Lambic
    Quality

Ive enjoyed all sorts of Belgian beer for decades, I particularly like Trappist beers and I've tried Kriek and Framboise often, but years ago. As one gets older, one gets to know which beers you really enjoy and this is the first time that I've tried Geuze. It is described as 'sour' which has put me off trying Lambic beers until now. I wouldn't describe this beer as sour but it does have a different taste to any other beer I've tried. I feel it's more like English bitter which has a distinctive taste which repels the young who often start drinking alcohol with sweeter and clearer drinks like lager and fruit flavoured alcopops. This beer, however, is worth a try. It's golden in colour but is unpasteurised and unfiltered so is hazy in the glass. There is a small amount of spent yeast residue in the bottle but this won't harm you if ingested and will not turn your poured beer into yeast porridge. It is no harder to drink than some British 'real ales' and does have a faint, at first, strange taste. Don't be put off, don't be timid, give this beer a go!
