About this product
Perhaps our favourite kriek in the world, Boon Mariage Parfait Kriek is a rich, decadent but perfectly balanced cherry sour made from 18-month of lambic with 400g per litre of overripe cherries. The result is a deeply fruity, cherry red beer with notes of scrumpy cider, oak, marzipan and, of course, cherry. There's lots of perceived sweetness but it's bone dry on the finish leaving just the aromatics of the fruit behind. It ages beautifully, losing some of it's fruitiness to mellow out like to a fruity Champagne-like beer. Truly world class.
Boon Mariage Parfait Kriek
Boon produces some of the best sour or lambic beers in the world. Exposed to natural yeasts in the air and left to ferment in giant (and we mean giant) oak barrels, it is the most natural way to make beer and yields a depth of flavour not found in any other style.
