Rochefort 6 has a smooth full bodied taste, with a fruity touch. Best served in a branded chalice glass. Best served in a branded chalice glass, with or without the sediment. Good with beef and game.
Trappiste de Rochefort are top-fermented, bottle-conditioned beers, brewed within the Saint-Rémy Abbey in Rochefort, Belgium. A dark 'double' style ale, dry and surprisingly easy drinking. Abbaye de Rochefort 6 has a light citrus fruit taste, gently warmed, with some bittersweet orange notes and a hint of brown sugar.
The aroma is warming with hints of raisins, prunes, spicy yeast, earthy tones, and the most prevalent, light chocolate. The taste is full and rich like a brown ale, but was not heavy on the palate. The carbonation adds to the light mouthfeel, yet the 7.5% ABV lets you know that this brew has some body.
The Rochefort Abbey has been brewing beer since 1595 and produces some of the world's best abbey-style beers. The secluded Belgian monastery still makes all its beer on site, as is required to earn the title of Trappist beer.
Malty, bready with notes of caramel and toffee, subtle coriander and banana with a dry aniseed finish... loved it!

Best Before Aug ‘26. A long time since I've had this, as I always preferred the 8. Smooth and creamy and noticeably dryer than the 8. Might just have add a few more if these to my stocks!
