Belgian 'Brun' ales, their typical caramel notes, soft spice and rich malts; bigger than the blond ales they often sit beside, can be just the ticket for cool evenings, or when a lighter blond beer really is just too light. Often the overlooked such is the preference toward the more commonly available Belgian Blonde ales, give them a go, they're different from a British Brown ale, be that a London or North East version, as they can be bigger in body and less hoppy, often the "belgian-ness" can really shine through, and become very moreish. We've also included a Porter from Canada, and a famous oak aged Flemish Red ale, from Rodenbach, just for differences...
