Hacker Pschorr & Paulaner German Mixed Beer Case
Paulaner/Hacker-Pschorr is the largest of the Munich breweries. Although two seperate beer brands, both are owned by the same company and all the beers are brewed on the same site in Au-Haidhausen, but with different yeasts and brewing streams.
Some 16 different Paulaner beers are brewed, most of them forms of Weißbier (wheat beer) or Helles (pale beer). The most revered beer is the Salvator Doppelbock, a dark, feisty beer that weights in at 7.5% and which is drunk predominately during the Starkbier season over Lent.
The brewery's tap is on the traditional site of the beer garden, on the hill of Nockherberg. This is also the venue of the famous Starkbierfest. Eleven beers are brewed under the Hacker-Pschorr label, including (unusually for Munich) an unfiltered beer known as Kellerbier. All bottled beers now come in the "plop-top" Bügelflasche.
Classics amongst them - great every day drinking, when you want long refreshment, great with a BBQ too! This case includes one free classic branded German Beer glass, worth over £4! Perfect for the beers in the case.
There are some 1300 breweries in Germany brewing German beer and is a major part of the German culture. German beer brewing has to adhere to strict purity controls called the The Reinheitsgebot (literally "purity order") dating from 1516, only the ingredients of water, barley and hops.
So, loads of quality German Beers, one free glass worth over £4 and save up to 12%!
