Durham Redemption
Origin A strong beer which was usually kept in the wood for long periods. Large amounts of malt produced a sweetish beer at the beginning, but prolonged maturation developed a drier, more complex ale. Tasting Notes Brewed December 2011, and properly aged as an old ale should be, this ruby strong ale has a complex malt character and nutty Fuggles hops. Grainy notes and higher alcohols will develop with time, topping a robust body with hints of marmalade and caramel. -
