Pours a brilliant yellow colour, almost gold with a medium, fast diminishing white head. Aroma is typical of northern German pilsners: grassy, grainy and basically full of dry malt character and tight herbal hops. Not complex at all but pleasing. Flavour is good, mildly bitter with some sweetness on the edges. A slight touch of caramel over a mainly lemongrass character. Body is light to medium, lots of carbonation.
